FEBRUARY 2012...
The month of February is special for many reasons but for me sans BLACK HISTORY Observance Month,sans VALENTINES DAY, sans my Grandmother's Birthday, sans so many other moments, this month marks 10 years as a Publisher. Being a pioneer for Online Magazines,
I am very proud of achieving a decade of bringing forth along with a few others at that time in 2000- 2002 a new way of Publishing on a FULL FEATURED level reaching readers globally as a Woman of Color.
This month is also special to me as I celebrate my birthday known as Caliente Birthday Month For Bebe! Caliente Birthday Month For Benita!

Last year I turned 40. Blessed to have lived four decades so far, being with those I love and yes I celebrate the ENTIRE MONTH of February!
The 40 Club, 40-49 year olds aren't like those before who would let's say be in their 80's and older. Of course some of them in that era when they were in their 40's looked good for their age, yet many were 'settled'. Some settled into a more subdued look because first that was the essence of who they were and secondly others felt it was required of them. In society you always have people saying how you should act, how you should look, dress at a certain age. Out of touch thought.

Times have changed for many men and women in terms of health, beauty, careers, marital statuses, children/no children status and more. The 40 Club overall looks great and there's nothing really 'settled' about the majority of us. Kudos! I look forward to celebrating at different locations with excellent company and also solo time. Hello there 41...

Black History Month Observance
Yes I put the Observance there on purpose because those who take part in Black History Month we do Observe the month by reflecting on the past, the present and what we do in the present may it affect the future in a more positive way accordingly. 1021Online will showcase an excletic mix of Black History through writings, audio, pictures, music.
Continuing to keep my conscious flowing as it should in harmony, we all should celebrate, set the example, continue awareness in various ways for those who fought for the many freedoms we enjoy today.
Freedom Fighters were Civil Rights were from all races/walks of life.

Valentines Day
Love Day Observance... there's absolutely nothing wrong with it at all! Whatever your love status, make it a GRAND LOVE DAY for SELF.

Music at the Publisher's Page will be quite um... colorful as I am going back down Memroy Lane with some Northern Soul, Latin Soul more. Music has always been a part of my life, various genre's and nothing pleases me more than to showcase talent from the past and present.
Enjoy the grooves as they will be changing consistently.

Le Reflections...
Traveling professionally and personally taking on various projects/gigs, speaking on panels, making sure I am meeting more deadlines than not on my day-to-day, final decisioner, attending meetings with the various organizations I am a member of, social networking, definitely it is time for me to unplug. We all need to unplug or we'll find oursleves being forced to do it on some breakdown episode. No Bueno. Leading rather busy lives, myself included we're quick to say, I don't have the time for the 'downtime', the 'unplug' but we certainly do. You will be better for it taking 10 to 15 minutes minutes clearing away the clutter of busy.
I've managed to unplug for a day, few days, the longest an entire week.

Many of us have gotten to the point where our YES dominates over our NO's that scream loud in the recesses of our minds but we choose to ignore because of the 'Nature of Habit' we've grown accustomed to.
My tolerence level is already short at spiked level for foolery. Without an 'unplug' Iam past 'Devil Wears Prada'. Others can relate. Go ahead and unplug to obtain balance. Nothing like balance, the zen life just being good to yourself, because you know we all deserve that. More updates here at the Publisher's Zone in a few weeks! Lock back in with me.
